Event Information

For each monthly event, we distribute essential goods and services in our local community and have partnered with women's shelters, homeless shelters, food pantries, and other social organizations . Please see our past events down below and visit our social media for more information!

Our Past Events

As of today, we have provided hope to ~3,000 individuals by serving about meals and distributing clothing items

2022 

  • Weekly Event - Panera bread baked goods weekly distribution

    • Benefitting refugees, shelters, and local families in need​

  • Monthly Event - Silent Giving 

    • Through the Silent Giving Initiative, LOAF works directly with families in a confidential manner in order to support their individual ​​needs. Donations of grocery items were delivered as requested by families. ​

  • January 2022 - grocery item donations to Burma Refugees

    • Meat, oil, and rice donated to 15 Burmese refugee families

  • February 19th, 2022 - in honor of Imam Ali (as) - hot meal event

    • Prepared and served 70 hot meals at Maruf Youth Center

  • March 13th, 2022 - in honor of Imam Mahdi (as) - soup kitchen meals 

    • 100 to-go meals (chicken entrees, salad, fruit, bread) prepared for the homeless at St. Vincent's Meal Service

  • April 9th, 2022 - in honor of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) - Ramadan food drive

    • 100 pounds of dates and 500 pounds of chicken donated to 110 families​

  • May 21st, 2022 - in honor of Imam Jafar as-Sadiq (as) - breakfast and hygiene item drive

    • 60 breakfast and hygiene bags packed and delivered to Guest House Milwaukee ​

  • June 11th, 2022 - in honor of Imam Ridha (as) - hot meal event

    • Served 80 meals at Guest House Milwaukee ​

  • July 4th, 2022 - in honor of Imam Muhammad Al-Jawad (as) - sandwich drive at Guest House 

    • 120 sandwiches prepared for Guest House Milwaukee​

  • July 7th, 2022 - in honor of Imam Sajjad (as) - hot meal event

    • Chicken entrees, rice, salad, fruit, and cake served at Kathy's House in Wauwatosa​

  • August 27th, 2022 - in honor of Imam Hussain (as) - memorial march 

    • Participated in a 2-mile march in Milwaukee to commemorate the legacy of Imam Hussain (as) ​

  • September 3rd, 2022 - in honor of Imam Hussain (as) - backpack and school supply drive​

2021

  • January 24th, 2021 - in honor of Imam Ali (as) - food and clothes drive

    • 100 meals donated to refugees and 50 clothing items (clothes, jackets, shoes, shirts, pants, etc)​

  • March 7th, 2021  - in honor of Imam Hasan (as) - soup kitchen meals at St. Vincent's Meal Service

    • 120 healthy meals served to the homeless​

  • March 27th, 2021 - in honor of Imam Mahdi (as) - food drive 

    • 62 grocery bags were donated to refugees from Somalia​

  • April 17th, 2021 - in honor of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) - Ramadan food drive

    • 2,000 dates and 100 pounds of chicken donated to refugees

  • May 9th, 2021 - in honor of Lady Fatima (as)  - Mother's Day meal at Women's Shelter

    • 100 healthy meals served to women and children ​

  • May 29th, 2021 - in honor of Imam Musa al-Kadhim (as) - Re-entry dinner and drive 

    • 50 meals served, hygiene bags donated, and business attire clothing items (jackets, dress shirts, shirts, and shoes) donated. ​

  • July 10th, 2021 - in honor of Imam Jafar as-Sadiq (as) - grocery items drive 

    • 100 grocery bags (vegetable oil, rice, flour, beans, and lentils) donated to Burma Rohingya refugees​

  • July 17th, 2021 - in honor of Imam Jawad (as) - meat drive 

    • 800 pounds of chicken donated to Burma Rohingya refugees​

  • August 8th, 2021 - in honor of Imam Hussain (as) - soup kitchen meals at St. Vincent's Meal Service

    • 120 meals served to the homeless​​

  • September-October 2021 - in honor of Imam Sajjad (as) - clothes and hygiene item drive for Afghan refugees

    • Donations of clothes, blankets, winter accessories, hygiene items, baby items, toys, and other essentials

  • October 2021 - in honor of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) - food distribution in the streets of Milwaukee

    • Donations of Panera Bread baked goods

  • November 2021 - in honor of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) - grocery item donations to Burma Refugees

    • 15 families received halal lamb, basmati rice, canola oil, and Panera Bread baked goods​

  • November 2021 - in honor of Imam Hassan (as) - Thanksgiving event with Waukesha Food Pantry

    • Donated funds and packed ~300 meals

  • December 2021 - in honor of Imam Muhammad Baqir (as) - hot meal event at St. Vincent de Paul

    • Prepared and packed ~100 meals
